The Very 1st I-Teach First Linky!

Hello everyone!

I’m excited to be a part of the very 1st I TEACH First link-up! We’ll be doing this at the beginning of each month, and you’ll have the opportunity to find some awesome resources and freebies. Just visit the links at the end of this post. Be sure to follow or check back each month for a new linky.

The holidays are right around the corner, bring on the hectic fun! I like to have my students make a keepsake gift for their parents, but we are always in a time crunch. I created this simple Color-Your-Own Elf Ornament that is perfectly sized to add a small school photo (We always get photo stickers from the photography company that does the student photos). I let the students decorate them, add the photo, laminate, and tie a ribbon for hanging. Quick & Cute! Click on the pic below to pick up this freebie:

Another favorite in my class is the My Letter to Santa Writing Center. This resource is not free, but only $1.00. Just add holiday toy ads and catalogs, and you have a highly engaging writing activity. Click the cover pic below to check it out. You can check out my other holiday resources on TpT, including more freebies: Here

Holiday Recipe Linky Party

Wow, I’ve been busy!

I’m linking up with First Grade and Fabulous‘ Holiday Recipe Linky Party. This is one of my favorites and always requested when we’re having a potluck. I hope you enjoy it:)

Corn Casserole

1 can Whole Kernel Corn (white or yellow, your choice)
1 can Creamed Corn
1/2 to 1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix (your preference for consistency) (I use one box)
1/3 cup Milk
1 Egg
1/2 stick Butter
1/2 cup Sugar

Drain Whole Kernel Corn. Mix everything together in large bowl. Pour into 8Γ—8 pan, pie plate or small casserole dish. Bake about 45 minutes at 350 degrees until firm and golden brown. Can be doubled or tripled. If you use a deeper dish you will need to add to the cooking time.

Join the fun & add you family favorites!

Take care,

Dee:)

It’s Groundhog Day!…..almost

I love Groundhog Day! My students always get so excited when we read a story about Phil, make predictions, and then watch the news video online to check if he sees his shadow. I made this graphing activity to use with my class, I hope you have fun with your class too. February 2nd is right around the corner!

You can download it free from my TpT store or my Teachers Notebook shop. Enjoy!

Here’s link with some history about Groundhog Day from the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club.
